When I’m giving an intuitive reading, relationships seem to be the topic that my clients are most often interested in. Whether it’s family issues, friend drama or conflict with a work colleague, we’re always trying to improve our connections with others.
But love is easily the most common topic that clients ask me about.
It’s what all clients want to talk about at some point, but I notice that those having trouble finding a soul mate tend to approach it in the same way.
One big “a-ha” moment for me is if this person seems to want someone’s energy to complete them. They tend to describe many of the strengths they want to see in another person, without really talking about themselves, their own qualities or what they have to offer.
And what’s wrong with focusing on this dream person? Isn’t that part of manifesting? Well, yes and no.
If you’re solely looking for energy outside of yourself to complete you, it means that you’re too focused on the other person.
If I notice this, I will ask a specific question back to the soulmate seeker. It’s a question that I ask you to consider as well:
Would you, right now, date yourself?
The reason this question is vital, is because it puts a light on the type of energy you put out in the world and to the people around you.
We all give off our own energetic vibes. If you’re living a fulfilling, joyful life, that’s exactly how people will perceive you.
However, if you are waiting for someone to ‘complete’ you, it puts you in a perpetual state of lacking.
In addition, if you wouldn’t even take yourself out for coffee or tea, if you don’t find your hobbies interesting, how will anyone else see your potential?”
Put another way, are you attracted to the person that you are?
The good news is that even if you wouldn’t date yourself, you can start making small changes that will magnetize a soul mate into your life.
Start asking yourself questions that will activate your own inner soulmate.
What would you do if you were in a relationship?
- Would you go to the theater and cultural events?
- Would you travel more?
- Would you be more adventurous?
- Or would your fun activities be more focused on nesting at home? Gardening, painting, or more yoga?
And here’s the true way to supercharge your soul mate manifesting.
Start doing some of the things that you’d like to do with your soul mate.
Whatever you’d love to do with your perfect partner, do that now. By living the life you want now, it will help attract a soul mate who will be on equal energetic footing as you are.

I would love to take a walk in nature with a perspective partner./soulmate. I do this now, alone with my little dog. I take in the winders that nature gives us. The flowers/trees, the smells and aromas, the bugs and the wildlife.
with my soulmate I would love to have lunch in a little cafe bistro or take a train journey together, stopping off to have a walk and lunch in a new town.
I also love walking in the forest near where I live.
