I have various skills that I am proud of, but physical balance is not one of them.
I can set a dinner table like nobody’s business. I can make a spinach, tomato and mozzarella frittata that will blow your socks off. If you need an openhearted listener, a shoulder to cry on, or just some practical intuitive advice, I’m your guy.
But ask me to balance on one foot for a minute and I’ll be wobbling like someone walking a tightrope between two high-rise buildings.
I once heard a spiritual teacher say that highly sensitive and intuitive people often have trouble with things like roller coasters and heights. I really resonated with hearing that. Just looking at a roller coaster makes my stomach turn. And then there was the time that I had vertigo for SIX MONTHS after a family cruise. For a while it felt like my sea legs were never going away.
I used to really judge myself for having dizzy spells, or not wanting to go on theme park rides, or just times where my balance was off.
But I’ve come to understand that this spike tends to happen when there is a lot of energy in my life and on the planet. Instead of judging myself, I now look at it as a way for my body to communicate with me.
I realize now that when I notice myself being clumsy, or if I look down and say where on earth did that bruise come from (I clearly must have knocked into something), it is my higher self, and my body’s way of telling me that I need to ground my energy!
With the end of the year approaching (especially this year), I wanted to mention this in case it happens to you as well.
Here are a few signs that you may be ungrounded:
- Feeling “out of my body”
- Experiencing dizziness, lack of balance, or clouded thought
- A sort of numb indifference

I agree 100% with all your symptoms!! I have suffered from them all since childhood, even the vertigo. I also have stage 4 Merkel Cell cancer, peripheral neuropathy, early emphysema plus Atrial Fibrillation, I am however happy, positive and excited about the massive changes happening in our beautiful world and I love your outlook and teachings.. I hope I will become more grounded after listening to your next ‘how to’. I put down the tree roots but still the tree gets the wobbles quite quickly 🙄

Thanks for offering this. I am so looking forward to it! I relate to the imbalance. All my life I had to work hard at balance, n more ways than one! For one, although having been in gymnastics extensively as a teen..I hated and really was worst on balance beam. It scared me! I avoided it as much as possible. Now it still is a bit physically, but also w/ many life aspects. Balance in general.
I too, have noticed bruises….not realizing I likely just wasn’t paying attention to when I bumped myself. Feels good to relate here. Thanks so much! Working on the grounding.
